Editorial Office was founded in 2002 by Alice Ellingham and Gill Smith.
Alice graduated from Nottingham University with a BSc (Hons) 1st Class in Molecular Plant Biology and joined Macmillan Press’ Journals Department (now part of Nature Publishing Group). During her 4 years at Macmillan, Alice managed an extensive list of medical journals and instigated Macmillan’s new partnership with the British Dental Association’s journal The British Dental Journal which was successfully re-launched under contract in January 1997.
Gill’s career as an Account Executive for the vehicle leasing industry brings over 7 years of experience in customer services to Editorial Office Ltd. These skills underpin the training of our on-line editorial assistants in the art of providing solid customer support to all whether they are Authors, Reviewers or Editors.
About Editorial Office
Editorial Office Ltd was launched specifically to work with the Scientific and Medical Journal department of Oxford University Press following the success of our first venture into on-line editorial office assistance. The help we provided to one of OUP’s journals, based in Paris, started a chain-reaction between the two companies. Within 36 months of our first project we had worked with 15 separate journal editorial offices and with Editors from USA, Australia, Japan and Europe.
Editorial Office Ltd is proud to now work with a growing number of international societies and four of the world’s leading publishers. We have gained a huge amount of experience with Editorial Manager, ScholarOne Manuscripts, and Allen Track and are confident in our ability to quickly learn to operate any peer review management system.
Our flexibility and experience enables us to welcome additional journals on either a long or short term basis and our competitive pricing structure allows customers to plan budgets accurately.
Our team of on-line editorial assistants create strong relationships worldwide. The dedication to the journals ensures a smooth and efficient link between Editor and on-line editorial office which benefits the journal as a whole.
